Open srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/status on your phone or computer. This is the only official SASSA status portal β do not use any other website.
Enter your 13-digit ID number
Type your South African ID number exactly as it appears on your green ID book or smart ID card. Do not add spaces or dashes.
Enter your mobile number
Use the exact mobile number you entered when you applied for the SRD grant. If you've changed numbers, your status may not appear β call SASSA on 0800 60 10 11 to update it.
Read your status result
Your status will display for the current month. It will show Approved (with a payment date), Pending, or Declined (with a reason code). See the guide below to understand exactly what each status means.
