Method 1: Check SASSA R370 Grant Appeal Status Online
Step 1: Visit the official SASSA Portal – First of all, you need to visit the official SASSA SRD Appeal Portal via the link https://srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/status
Step 2: Find Application Status – On the website, look for the option that says “Application Status” which will allow you to check your R370 Grant Appeal Status.
Step 3: Provide SA ID Number – On the next page, you will see a form asking you to enter your South African ID Number and registered mobile number to check your appeal status. Enter the correct information and hit the “Check Status” button at the bottom of the form.
Step 4: Enter the PIN – After entering your SA ID and mobile number, you will receive a one-time password on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP on the screen to proceed.

You can also check your SRD appeal status via WhatsApp. All you need to do is save your SASSA WhatsApp number and follow the below-mentioned step-by-step process:
Step 1: Save SASSA WhatsApp Number: If the SASSA WhatsApp number is not already saved in your phone’s contact list, then save it by clicking on Create a new contact under the Contacts app on your phone. Enter “SASSA Helpline” as the name of the contact and enter 082 046 8553 in the number field.
Step 2: Open WhatsApp – Open your WhatsApp application installed on your mobile phone, and search for the “SASSA Contact” to initiate a new chat with SASSA.
Step 3: Send “Status” Message – Send “Status” following with your South African ID number, for example, SASSA 1236547896541.
