Adding Channels To Openview
Following are the steps that you need to follow to add channels on Openview decoder and continue your entertainment:
Step 1: Power Up Your TV & Decoder – First of all, turn your TV and decoder to follow the process, and take the remote in hand.
Step 2: Factory Reset (Optional Step) – If you are not sure about the previous settings in your Openview decoder, and don’t know why this issue occurred, it is best to perform a factory reset by pressing 1-2-3-4-5 on the remote followed by the OK button. The factory reset may take a few minutes to complete, once done, all your previous settings will be erased and your decoder will be back to its original condition.
Step 3: LNB Settings – Only follow this step if you were using an Explorer decoder before switching to Openview, then there is a need to adjust the LNB settings, follow the steps:
- Take your remote and press the “Menu” button.
- Go to “Settings” and Press “OK” to open the settings.
- Then, select “Installation” and then choose “Search Channels”.
- Find “LNB type” on the left side of the screen, and change that to “SatCR” by using the arrow key in the remote.
- At last, click the red button to start the channel scan.
Step 4: Channel Search – Once the channel scan is completed, you will see all the available Opeview channels.
- Press the “Menu” button.
- Navigate to the “Settings” using your arrow buttons in the remote, and press “OK” to select Settings.
- Select “Installation”, you might need to provide a PIN for parental control. The default PIN is 1234 to unlock.
- Go down to “Channel Search” and press the “OK” key.
- You need to confirm that you want “Channel Search”, Press “OK” to provide confirmation.
Step 5: Wait Patiently – The channel scan will take some minutes to complete, so wait until it is completed. The decoder will search for all available channels and add them to its memory.
Step 6: Activation (Optional) – In some cases, the user is required to activate the channel through their mobile phone. Make sure to check whether you are required to or not, if you are playing Channel 100, there will be some instructions to activate your decoder through your mobile phone.
Step 7: Signal Check – Everything is completed now, but it is recommeded to verify your decoder signal strength to ensure a smooth entertaining experience. Press the “Help” button on your remote and you will see the signal strenth and quality of your TV.
