  • First of all, you need to visit the official SASSA portal to check your status, visit the page via the link https://srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/status
  • On the page, you will need to enter your South African ID number and registered mobile number which you used when submitting your grant application.
  • After entering both the details, click on the “Submit” or “Check Status” button at the bottom.
  • Your SASSA Disability application status will be shown on the screen.

If approved, you will start receiving your grant money from the next scheduled date. Or, if the application is declined and you still believe that you are eligible, you can file an appeal.

  • Provide your SA ID number and mobile number registered in the SASSA application.
  • Your balance will be sent through SMS to your registered mobile number.

Check Disability Grant Balance via SASSA Card

  • Locate the nearest ATM in your locality, and don’t forget to carry your SASSA Card.
  • Enter your SASSA Card in the ATM Machine, you will required to enter your PIN to proceed.
