All these services have similar processes that you can follow, so I am only sharing the ABSA’s process in this article:

Cash Send Via ABSA’s ATM

Following are the steps you can follow to withdraw your funds via ABSA’s ATM without SASSA card:

Step 1: Locate the nearest ABSA ATM

ABSA ATMs are everywhere, locate the nearest Cash Send enabled ABSA ATM near your area using their branch locator page https://www.absa.co.za/find-us/. You only need Cash Send-enabled branches for this process, and not all their ATMs are Cash Send enabled.

Step 2: Provide Your Registered Mobile Number

Find the Cash Send logo on the ATM screen, so click on it. Then it will ask you to enter your registered mobile number to proceed. This would be the same number where you receive all your SASSA notifications.

Step 3: Complete OTP Verification

You will receive a one-time password on your registered mobile number. Enter it in the given field in the ATM screen to complete your OTP verification.

Step 4: Withdraw Your SASSA Grant Money Without SASSA Card

After the OTP verification, you can withdraw your SASSA money without needing your SASSA Card. There will be an option asking you to the amount you want or withdraw the full amount.

Find the nearest ABSA Bank Branch in your area, you can use their branch locator page to find the nearest branch. Visit the branch during their operating hours.

After reaching the branch, meet with the staff and inform them that you are here to withdraw your SASSA grant money via Cash Send. Staff will ask your SASSA registered mobile number to start the procedure.

Step 3: Complete OTP Verification

After providing your phone number, you will receive a one-time password on your number. Provide the OTP to the staff to complete the verification.

SASSA R350 Cardless Cash Withdrawl method is also known as the SASSA OTP Withdrawal. You need SASSA-Partnered retailers to withdraw your SASSA grant using this method. Below are the six SASSA-partnered retailers listed below:

To use this method as your withdrawal option, you need to first change the payment mode to Cash Send through the SASSA Portal at srd.sassa.gov.za. Once the payment method has changed, you can pick up your grant money from any of the 7 retailers SASSA is partnered with.

Following are the steps that you need to follow to get your Grant money withdrawn using the SASSA OTP Withdrawl method:

Step 1: Gather Everything

Prepare everything needed for this procedure, and gather the following things before starting the process:

  • South African ID Number
  • SASSA/Postbank Gold Card PIN

Step 2: Find the Nearest Pick-Up Point

Locate the nearest SASSA-partnered retailer outlet from your address. You can choose any of the 6 mentioned above.

Step 3: Wait for your turn

After that, you can easily withdraw your grant money directly from your bank using an ATM or visiting the branch.
