But there is another method which is undiscovered for most of the beneficiaries, this is checking the SASSA status using Moya App. It is quite an easy, simple and convenient method to find the current status of your SASSA application.
When I found this method, I found it quite helpful and time-saving for the SASSA beneficiaries. So, I thought why should not share it with my blog readers at SASSAhelp.co.za.
Let’s check out the complete step-by-step process to check SASSA Status using Moya App:
For this process, you’ll need the following things:
- An Android or iOS mobile device is needed for this process
- Your 13-digit South African ID number
- Your registered mobile number to receive OTP
SASSA Status Check Via Moya App (Step-by-Step Process)
Step 1: Download & Install Moya Application
If not already, then download and install the Moya application from the Google Play Store or App Store. Search for “Moya” and download the application. When downloading is completed, click on the Install button to complete the installation.
Step 2: Open Moya App
Once the Moya app is installed, find the Moya application installed in your app by locating the app by icon. Click on the Moya app to open the application.
Step 3: Find the SASSA Section
On the app’s main screen, locate the “Discover” section. This will have a compass icon, find the option and Tap on that to open it. Scroll down a bit to find the “SASSA” or “Government Services”. When found, click on the option to open it.
Step 4: Select the SASSA Status Check Option
Under the SASSA option, you will many options related to SASSA services. Check all the options and find “Check SRD R350 Status” or a similar option. Click on that to open…
Step 5: Provide Necessary Information
There will be a small form asking you to enter your South African ID Number and registered mobile number. Provide both the information carefully, and make sure this information is entered correctly.
Step 6: Get Your SASSA Status
After entering the SA ID number and registered mobile number, click on “Submit” or “Check Status” at the bottom of the page. You will get your SASSA Grant application status on the screen, there are three possible outcomes:
- Approved: If you see Approved, that means your application has been approved and you will start receiving your grant money from the next scheduled date.
- Pending: Pending status means SASSA is working on your applicant, reviewing all the information and documents provided.
- Declined: This means your application for the SASSA grant has been declined because SASSA found that you are not eligible for the grant. If you believe SASSA made a mistake here then file an appeal.
