2 Methods to Apply For New SASSA Card

There are mainly two methods available that allow SASSA beneficiaries to apply for a new card, which allows them to receive, withdraw, and manage the grant money. I have shared both ways, you can choose the one preferred method to get your SASSA card:

Method 1: Apply For A New SASSA Card Online

You can apply for your new SASSA Gold Card via the official SASAS portal online, you need to gather all the documents I shared above for the process. Follow the steps shared below:

Step 1: Visit the SASSA Portal

To apply online, you first need to visit the SASSA official portal https://services.sassa.gov.za using your preferred browser, such as Chrome, Safari, Mozilla, etc.

Step 2: Login/Registered to SASSA Portal

Login to the portal by entering your login credentials, if you already have an account. But if you are new to the SASSA portal, register a new account by clicking the “Register” option located at the top right corner of the page.

To complete the registration process, provide all the required details, such as name, email address, phone number, and ID/passport number. Make sure to choose a strong password to secure your SASSA account.

Once registered, logged into your account using the email address and password you used for the registration.

Step 3: Locate Card Services

After you log into your SASSA account, find the section that says “Card Services” or any option that says “Apply for New SASSA Card“. You can find the option on the main screen, or use the search option to find them. Once found, click on the Option to proceed.

Step 4: Application for SASSA Card

You will then see a new SASSA Gold Card application form, where you need to provide all your information such as name, email, residence address, South African ID/Password Number, mobile number, type of grant, etc.

After filling in all the details, and uploading documents, double-check the information in the form. Ensure there is no typo mistake or you mistakenly provided incorrect information.

Step 2: Talk to Their Staff

When reach the office, talk to their staff and share that you want to apply for an SASSA card, they will share the process and documents needed. Tell them that you are already prepared because of SASSAHelp.co.za, and everything is ready for the process.

Step 3: Fill out the Application for SASSA Card Form
